Privacy Notice pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”)

The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in force since 25 May 2018.
Below you will find the updated version of the privacy notice and the cookie policy.

The new privacy policy explains the key points regarding the data collected about your browsing activity. Thanks to the GDPR, you can more easily view your data and amend the settings relating to the consents you gave when you chose to browse the website at Nemea Sistemi.

What types of data do we collect?

On the website nemeasistemi.com Only data provided by the end user whilst browsing the site is processed. No sensitive data is collected automatically. The only data collected automatically is anonymous data relating to visits to the site and any registration via the contact form or for the newsletter, which can be found on some of the website’s pages. Please refer to the section on cookies and the subsequent section explaining the use of anonymous tracking technologies.

Nemea Sistemi These tracking tools are used exclusively for the purposes of anonymous tracking as intended by the tools themselves. When you register via the contact form or sign up for the newsletter, you are asked to provide certain details which are used to keep you updated via email on the latest news and offers. The data requested includes, for example: email address, first name and surname, telephone number (optional), region and/or town, company name and type, etc. We will use this data solely to provide you with the information you have requested.

Third-party data

If you provide personal data relating to third parties, such as family members or friends, you must ensure that these individuals have been properly informed and have consented to the processing of their data in the manner described in this privacy policy. This is entirely your responsibility.

Data relating to children under the age of 16

If you are under 16, you must not provide any personal data, nor may you register via the contact forms or for the newsletter.

1. How do we use the data we collect?

The data is used, subject to your explicit consent, to inform you about promotional activities that may be of interest to you. In particular, this includes initiatives via email and social media.

2. Is the provision of data compulsory?

The provision of personal data is mandatory solely for the purpose of providing the services or fulfilling requests when the user decides to contact us via any of the dedicated channels on the website, NeMeA Sistemi.

3. Data controller and data processor

The Data Controller is NeMeA Sistemi Srl with its registered office at Via Giuseppe Biasi 6/D, Alghero (SS), represented by Michele Boella in his personal capacity.

The data controller has appointed the Data Protection Officer (DPO) from the company Consulcert srl, with registered office at Via Santa Veronica 24, Orosei (NU), in the person of Dr Federica Mattio, who can be contacted at the following email address: sicurezza@consulcert.it

Purpose of processing

Handling of requests and/or initiatives: Personal Data will be collected for the purpose of responding to enquiries sent to us by email, via our website and/or via social media.

The legal basis for such processing is the data controller’s legitimate interest. The services may also be provided via video chat or video call. In such cases, support via video chat or video call may be activated at the user’s discretion; it will take place exclusively in real time and there will be no recording of the content.

Parties to whom personal data may be disclosed

Data collected in the course of providing the service or when registering via the contact form or for the newsletter will not be disclosed to any third party, but will remain for the exclusive use of NeMeA Sistemi. Under no circumstances will personal data be disclosed or sold to third parties other than as set out herein.

4. How can you find out about your personal data, amend it, delete it or obtain a copy of it?

Opt Out

You may, at any time, request access to your personal data and you may withdraw the consents you have given at any time by sending your request to the following email address: privacy@nemeasistemi.com.
The deletion will be carried out within the specified timeframe and in accordance with the retention period.

Exercising your rights

Any person using the services of NeMeA Sistemi may:

  • to obtain information from the Data Protection Officer (DPO) regarding the existence of their personal data, its origin, and the purposes and methods of processing
  • to request the updating, rectification, supplementation, erasure or restriction of the processing of data where any of the conditions set out in Article 18 of the GDPR apply
  • Every user has the right to withdraw their consent at any time without this affecting the lawfulness of processing based on the consent given prior to the withdrawal.
  • to receive their personal data – whether provided knowingly and actively or through the use of the service – in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit that data to another data controller without hindrance
  • to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority

5. How will your data be stored, and for how long?

Personal data will be stored electronically for the period strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in point 1, whilst respecting your privacy and in accordance with current legislation.
For marketing and promotional purposes, we retain your data for a maximum period in accordance with the applicable legislation (up to a maximum of 24 months).
Should you exercise your right to be forgotten by submitting an explicit request for the erasure of personal data processed by the data controller, we would like to remind you that such data will be retained, in a secure manner and with restricted access, solely for the purposes of investigating and prosecuting criminal offences, for a period not exceeding 12 months from the date of the request, after which it will be securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

6. Is the privacy policy subject to change over time?

This privacy notice may be subject to change. Should any substantial changes be made to the way in which your data is used, the DPO will update the privacy notice and publicise this change prominently on its website or via alternative or similar means.

Profiling and third-party cookies

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send to their device (usually to the browser), where they are stored so that they can be retrieved and transmitted back to those same websites the next time the user visits them. 2. How is consent (opt-in) given for the use of cookies?
