XMapp supports organisations in preparing for and responding to emergency situations, enabling theimmediate issuance of weather warnings, viewing the Civil Protection Plan and locating points of interest such as AEDs and pharmacies. In critical situations, the ability to send push notifications and text messages ensures widespread and immediate communication.

The recent update to the platform included the integration of the Tourism section which broadens the scope of the application by incorporating further information and focusing on promoting the local area. This thematic area enables the local authority to promote the local area by highlighting the following aspects:

• Places of interest: mapping of places to visit and of particular cultural interest.
