NeMeA Sistemi A key player at the Sardinia Race 2025 with the Geoportal for live tracking

Last May, Sardinia was the setting for the spectacular Sardinia Race 2025, a thrilling non-stop 400-mile race around its coastline, starting and finishing in Cagliari. The regatta, designed for sailors who love deep-sea racing and complex manoeuvres, provided a real adrenaline rush amidst the area’s natural treasures.

For this edition, NeMeA Sistemi has made the experience even more exciting with the Geoportal dedicated to live tracking: Through this platform, it was possible to follow every moment of the adventure thanks to real-time updates on the boats’ positions, measurements of their distance from the coast and readings of their speed.

To mark the occasion, our innovative Italian SME was a proud sponsor of the Sardinia Race 2025, thereby bringing together sport, the sea and innovation. In this context, we established the NeMeA Trophy, a special award presented for the best stretch of coastline at Capo Caccia, a symbolic place that represents Alghero, registered office of our company.

Furthermore, our CEO, Michele Boella, had the honour of personally presenting the awards to the winning crews on stage at the closing ceremony. Among those on the podium at the NeMeA Trophy were:

  • 1st place – Charlie, with a crew comprising Gluca Manca and Simone Balzano
  • 2nd place – Kismah, with Stefano Floris and Paolo Demuro
  • 3rd place – Sirah, with Andrea Locci and Pietro Mureddu

The NeMeA Trophy was created to celebrate not only speed and strategy at sea, but also the deep connection between the local area, the sea and technological innovation – values that guide our work every day.
