The digital future of local authorities: opportunities and strategies for the georeferencing of place names with NeMeA Sistemi

The digital transformation is a key component for thethe development of public services and theimproving the efficiency of the public administration. In the current climate, Italian local authorities are called upon to seize the opportunities offered by funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to modernise its infrastructure and improve engagement with citizens and businesses.

In this context, the public notice concerning the Measure 1.3.1 ANNCSU takes on strategic importance. The initiative aims to improve the quality of digital services through the georeferencing of place names and the transmission of data on house numbers and urban roads to theANNCSU (National Archive of House Numbers and Urban Streets) via the PDND platform.

Specialist support

NeMeA positions itself as a qualified partner to support local authorities in this process of compliance, offering a comprehensive and bespoke service to assist local councils in adhering to and implementing the requirements set out in the ANNCSU Measure.

Our methodological approach includes:

  1. Preliminary Analysis: We carry out a thorough assessment of the organisation’s situation and verify eligibility criteria, paying particular attention to local authorities that are already members of ANNCSU.
  2. Management of Georeferenced Data: We carry out the analysis of georeferenced data relating to house numbers. Should the authority not have the required information, we will arrange for the data collection and georeferencing.
  3. Data Updates and Clean-up: We ensure that existing data is accurate and up to date through targeted data cleansing processes.
  4. Compliant API Implementation: We develop and publish an API (Application Programming Interface) in full compliance with AgID guidelines and the tender specifications, to ensure the efficient and secure transmission of data to the PDND.

The submission process is designed to be fully automated, ensuring that cartographic information is updated promptly and that there is full integration with the National Services Catalogue.
