GeoPortal-X: NeMeA Sistemi’s digital ecosystem for the management of green spaces

The management of municipal green spaces is taking a decisive technological leap forward thanks to the new application released by NeMeA Sistemi: the result of a strategic partnership with Tamalacà and integrated into the ecosystem GeoPortal-X. This solution has been specifically designed to meet the needs of public bodies and private companies operating in the maintenance of urban green spaces, providing an advanced tool for monitoring the territory.

The beating heart of the system lies in the accuracy of the GIS data, which goes beyond simply delineating the boundaries of areas. The platform enables a comprehensive survey:

  • Digitisation of cultural heritage: Every tree, shrub or patch of grass is identified by precise georeferenced coordinates.
  • Botanical profile: For each specimen, it is possible to record key attributes such as the botanical species, age, height and current state of health.
  • Infrastructure and facilities: In addition to plant species, the system enables the mapping of the entire network of irrigation systems and all managed assets in the area.

Security and regulatory compliance

Managing green spaces today is not merely a matter of aesthetics; it also involves navigating a complex legislative landscape to ensure the community’s safety is safeguarded to the highest degree. The GeoPortal-X application radically simplifies this task, operating in full compliance with Italian national legislation. The system includes:

  • Legislative Decree No. 228/2001 on public green spaces.
  • Guidelines from the Ministry of the Environment on the protection of urban biodiversity.
  • UNI standards relating to tree safety.

This approach provides organisations with robust legal protection and ensures the transparent management of their tree assets.

Advanced analytics and predictive maintenance

Apart from the administrative side of things, the real technological revolution lies in the ability to transform the data collected into operational strategies through interactive dashboards. Users can view dynamic thematic maps and automatically generate detailed reports – essential tools for successfully navigating regulatory audits.

The platform also enables a shift from a reactive approach to a genuine predictive maintenance strategy. By constantly analysing the data, it is possible to plan work before problems arise, thereby optimising the use of financial resources and ensuring comprehensive and forward-thinking care of green spaces.
